The arithmetic follows the published equation and the categories follow the cited guidelines, but no guarantee is given that the site is complete, accurate, uninterrupted or suitable for any particular purpose. Laboratory reports, assay methods and guideline documents change, and this site may not reflect the most current revision of any of them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of this site are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site, from reliance on a calculated result, or from the site being unavailable. Clinical decisions belong with a qualified clinician who can see the whole patient.

The Friedewald equation itself is published scientific work and is free for anyone to use; this site claims no rights over it. Reference ranges and guideline recommendations belong to the bodies that published them and are cited here, not claimed.

Reference links point to PubMed so that every citation can be checked. Those sites are not operated by this one, and no responsibility is taken for their content.
